Technical and legal support for production and distribution companies, and searches for products and systems for pest control.
Drawing up and verification of insect pest monitoring plans for the purposes of the UNI 11381:2010 standard in agri-food companies.
Development and introduction of pest-management systems in compliance with the UNI EN 16636: 2015 standard.
Technical supervision and support for activities pertaining to prevention (auditing), monitoring (inspection and sampling) and control of pests through the correct use of biocides, plant-protection products, high temperatures, controlled atmospheres, toxic gases and the use of pheromones and beneficial insects in the contexts of conventional and organic agriculture.
I am a technical consultant on health-hygiene matters for AIFE (Italian Dried Forages Association) for which I took part in drafting the HACCP Guidelines authorised by the Health Ministry.
I continually take part in training seminars and professional development courses in my areas of competence, in Italy and abroad.
I collaborate with some university departments on research in the field of food hygiene and pest control, and for the development of procedures for pest-control, disinfection and rat control.
I have been a member of the Cereals Commission and the Services Commission within UNI, the Italian Standards Body, in Milan.
I was a working group leader and technical contributor, at Università Cattolica in Piacenza, for the UNI 11381:2010 standard concerning “Monitoring of insect pests in agri-food industries”.
I have been a member of the technical working group, representing Italy, for drafting the UNI EN 16636:2015 standard on “Pest control and management services – requirements and competencies”.
I am occasionally engaged by ANID (Italian Association of Pest-Control Companies) for collaborations and teaching.
I am author and co-author of nearly a hundred technical-scientific and informational publications in the fields of hygiene, pest-control and agri-food safety, and I collaborate with some publishers and trade journals specialising in the fields of hygiene and food.
I am involved, as a speaker and teacher, in seminars and courses relating to pest control, hygiene and safety of agri-food productions and companies (CEREALIA, etc.)
